The Pastor’s Wife course is a practical class of instruction
covering such subjects as the wife as an individual, her role as a wife and

This course is designed for the individual who plans to enter
the field of Christian education. Various aspects of teaching will be
discussed, such as classroom arrangement, discipline, teaching techniques,
tests, homework, and curriculum comparisons. Students will learn how to
complete teacher planning books and grade books. Attention will be given to
the practical “how to” of teaching. |

This course is designed to give students the tools for
understanding temperament and its relationship to behavior, as well as how
to use Scripture for counseling in such matters as child-rearing, adolescent
problems, drugs, marriage, guilt, depression, and other areas faced by
Christian workers. |

This course deals with the daily issues
of practical Christianity. The students will take a deeper look at
Scripture as the Compass for every day life, and will learn to more readily
recognize the lures and snares that Satan uses to defeat them and to
distance them from the Lord and His will. Emphasis is placed on
learning more of the true character and motives of the Lord, and in
particular, how they relate to the Christian.

This course will present its students with a workable “head
knowledge” of youth ministry. Students will be taught the basics of a
biblical youth ministry philosophy, leadership, and organization; as well as
relational skills, preaching/teaching skills, and counseling skills. The
greatest lessons, however, are taught by the “school of life”; therefore,
there will be out-of-class assignments, which will increase the students’
confidence and facilitate their learning. |

STUDENT OBSERVATION 1 & 2 |

Students will be placed in a classroom under the direction of
experienced teachers. Student observers will spend time helping, watching,
and learning the art of teaching. They will receive some “hands on”
experience. Most of this work will be done at Massillon Christian School. |
