The first semester of this course deals with the basic
principles of current grammar and usage. The second semester focuses on
applying these language skills to college writing. It is our intent that
each student will complete this course with a good, working knowledge of
English grammar and punctuation usage.

By using a combination of written and oral assignments, the
student will learn the proper way of both developing and presenting a
speech. Areas that will be covered are: effective public speaking,
analysis, supporting your topic, delivering your speech effectively, etc.
All students will be expected to participate in class discussions, including
positive critique of fellow students.

This course is designed to aid the God-called preacher in the
preparation and delivery of sermons. Methods of study and outlining are
combined with practical and helpful lessons. (For men only)
